Getting started
We want you to start this partnership by getting to know each other in a different way! That’s why we ask you to avoid talking about your job title and career story in your first conversation - you are so much more than your CV!
Instead, please bring with you a photograph of you as a child and reflect on the following questions:
- What did this child love to do?
- Where was this child's 'place' in the family (oldest, middle, youngest)? What does that mean to you?
- What was at least one significant thing that happened to this child?
- Are there things that impacted you in this period to be the line manager you are today?
Building your partnership
We also want you to reflect on the environment you want to foster your partnership in. It’s important to understand each other’s needs, so please consider the following question:
- What do we expect from each other to make this experience valuable for both of us?
We suggest you keep things light, don't rush to give each other advice, and be open and honest about your experiences. This will build a great foundation for your journey together!
Also, remember that everyone's way of communicating is different, so keep this in mind as you chat - your match may be more extroverted or introverted than you!
