Talking about what you want

It's often useful to explain where you're at so you can figure out where you want to go. Being specific about obstacles or challenges, or just saying things out loud, can often make you see them differently. So we encourage you to share why you've joined Voco and what you really want from work...

Here are a few questions to consider that will help you talk more opening about why you're here and where you want your Voco journey to lead.

  • Give a specific example of an opportunity or challenge you feel you’re currently facing?
  • What it is, what’s the context, who’s involved, what’s your ideal outcome?
  • What do you want to achieve in the next year; how will you know when you've achieved it?

  • How do you want to feel about your career?

  • Why are you interested in a specific topic and what do you want to learn about it?

  • What's your current comfort level with that topic?

  • Who do you most admire as an expert in the area you're interested in?
